1. How can I help?
We welcome any and all help in auction planning! We need every SPARK family to PROCURE as many AUCTION ITEMS (it is an expense-free way to support the auction) as possible as well as SECURE SPONSORS. Email Suzanne Macpherson to help.
2. Stop While You Shop
Take a look at your credit card statements and checkbook – a business you support is more likely to support SPARK After Dark. Start with your favorite neighborhood shops, hairdresser, cleaners, auto mechanic, and restaurants, and when out of town, consider hotels and recreational facilities. Ask these businesses to make a tax deductible contribution to a good cause. We will recognize every donor in the auction descriptions and the auction catalog, and on this website. Making a donation to or sponsoring SPARK After Dark is a great advertising opportunity for any business, big or small. Their message will reach 300+ of Atlanta's finest the night of the auction, and countless others on our website!
3. Family Matters
Do you have a particular talent or service to share with the community? How about your family, friends, or acquaintances? Take a look at your contact list and identify those in an interesting or useful trade, who own businesses, create art, or work for companies that might donate to our auction – ask them to support your child(ren)…then invite them to the auction!
4. How Do I Ask?
It’s easier than you think. Consider the following as a starting point:
“My son/daughter attends Springdale Park Elementary School. Would you consider donating to or becoming a sponsor of the School’s annual auction? The auction is our largest fundraiser and is being held on March 12, 2016. SPARK is an extraordinary school, and we would appreciate your support.”
Email Suzanne Macpherson for a copy of the formal solicitation letter and donor receipt.
